Come stop by our friendly K-ZAP Emporium Of Swag booth (ONLY at Chalk It Up on Monday Sept 2nd from 10a-6p) and say hey, talk music, local concerts and pick up some swag!
The 34rd annual Chalk It Up! Chalk Art & Music Festival is our biggest event of the year, bringing people from all over the region to midtown Sacramento in celebration of chalk art, music, and community. We are one of the last family-friendly festivals that is still 100% free to the public. Some of our long-time regulars come all three days to see the incredible art and enjoy the music. For some families this is the first time that kiddos get to see live music. For some student musicians it is the first time they’ve ever played on a large public stage. For new bands it is an opportunity to be seen by a big crowd. It is a joyful experience, and a way to give back to the community!
The 34rd Annual Chalk It Up! Chalk Art & Music Festival is Labor Day Weekend, August 31-September 2, 2024, at Fremont Park(16th and 17th Street / P and Q Streets) in Midtown Sacramento. There will be artists creating works of chalk art on the sidewalk around the park, local food and craft vendors inside the park, and live music on the Chalk It Up Stage from 10am to 6pm over the three day festival.
The Chalk It Up Festival features 3 days of live music, local vendors, food trucks, kids activities and hundreds of volunteer artists creating stunning works of art on the sidewalks around Fremont Park and DOCO around the Golden 1 Center.“I love to bring together an exciting assortment of talent of the best musical artists of Sacramento! A lineup that’s diverse in genre and style,” says Eli Perry who booked the Chalk It Up Festival. “The Music Festival Stage will have bands that I love seeing, and bands that I’ve never seen before. We’ve got punk rock, Irish rock, and surf rock. Jazz and hip hop and a full mariachi band. Bands who are as unique as the Chalk Art being created on the sidewalk surround Fremont Park!”
