CLINT WARNER, was born in San Francisco in late 1967. He began playing guitar at the age of 8. The early influence of all styles of music rubbed off on Warner’s powerful vocal style and extremely versatile guitar playing. Warner moved to the central valley of California in his late teens and started working the Top 40, country, jazz, blues and rock scenes. He worked regularly with bassist Bill Church, (Sammy Hagar, Ronnie Montrose, Van Morrison) in his twenties. Warner then found himself back in Humboldt in his thirties to work harder on writing and promoting himself under his own name. Performing under his own name for many years, He and his band had earned, hands down, the title of the hardest working in the NorCal region. Sometimes venturing into Washington, Oregon and Nevada. Warner’s writing style has grown into a versatile blend of acoustic and electric blues jazz and funk rock. Warner has opened for national acts such as Greg Allman, Joan Jett, Cheap Trick, Foghat, Foreigner, Tommy Castro, Lydia Pence and Cold Blood, and Joe Bonamassa.

VERN FOSTER, Drummer/Backing Vocals with roots in the local Sacramento area, Vern has been playing blues in the local scene for over 25 years, with many different bands. Vern is a pocket drummer, with a swing groove type feel and lays down a mean shuffle. He absolutely loves Slow Burnin Blues, Funky Grooves, and holds a very special spot in his heart for Stevie Ray Vaughan and that Texas driving blues feel. Vern has played for two Sacramento “Sammies” award winning blues bands – “Sacramento Blues Revue”, and “Two Tone Steiny and the Cadillacs”. To name a few local bands, Vern has played for Mere Mortals, Blues Farm, Cold Sweat, Rumpshaker, Jeramy Norris and bay area blues rocker, David M’ore Band. Vern has played the NorCal casino circuit as well as headlining a So Cal Blues Festival. In 2017, Vern and Derek Fresquez put together a new band, “Derek Fresquez and Cuttin the Chord”. Tony Holt joined the band on Bass a few years later and the two have been playing together ever since. When Derek moved out of state, Tony and Vern were approached by Clint Warner, to join forces and create a stellar blues band, and that brings us to where we are today. Influences: Chris Layton (SRV), Ringo Starr, and June Core (Charlie Musselwhite)… to name just a few.

TONY HOLT, Bass Guitar Tony hails from Cleveland, Ohio where he started playing bass guitar at the age of 10,joining his first “real” band at 17. Tony became a sought after 1 st call bass player in the Cleveland area, sharing the stage with Robert Lockwood Jr, Colin Dussault and a host of other great musicians. Tony has opened for Buddy Guy, Robben Ford, Valerie Wellington, and John Lee Hooker to name a few. After moving to California Tony landed a gig playing for Pinkie Rideau (Sacramento Blues Hall of Famer) and her band Blind Resistance for the next five years. In 2018Tony joined up with Derek Fresquez and Cuttin the Chord where he met drummer, Vern Foster. The two formed a solid rhythm section for Derek for many years. When Derek moved out of state Tony and Vern were approached by Clint Warner, to join forces and create a stellar blues band, and so it is! His influences are Ron Blair of Tom Petty, Paul Denman of Sade, Gene Schwartz of Robert Lockwood Jr. While Tony enjoys playing all styles of music his passion is playing Driving Blues and Rock & Roll.
