Bush are an English rock band formed in London, England in 1992.  Consisting of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Gavin Rossdale, drummer Robin Goodridge, lead guitarist Chris Traynor, and bassist Corey Britz.  The band is named after Shepherd’s Bush, London where the band members once resided.

Described as a post-grunge, grunge, alternative rock, and hard rock band Bush became one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1990s selling more than 20 million albums worldwide.  Bush has garnered numerous top ten singles and a No. 1. album 1996’s Razorblade Suitcase.

Bush found immediate success with the release of their debut album 1994’s Sixteen Stone a six time certified multi platinum triumph.  The album spawned two Top 40 singles “Comedown” and “Glycerine.”

The band’s second album Razorblade Suitcase hit number one in America and went platinum less than a year after its release.  Bush later released a remix of the album titled Deconstructed that saw the band arranging their songs into dance and techno stylings.

The band’s third album The Science of Things was a major departure from Bush’s first two albums.  While the band’s previous releases were strongly influenced by grunge The Science of Things featured some electronic elements found in dance music.  Initially a slow seller it was Bush’s performance at Woodstock ’99 that propelled The Science of Things to platinum status.

Bush’s 2001 album Golden State was a return to the sound of their first two albums but failed to garner much attention and turned out to be their last album for eight years though the band did release a greatest hits album The Best of: 1994-1999 and a live album entitled Zen X Four.

In 2010 Bush played their first show in eight years an announced a forthcoming album The Sea of Memories.  Founding members Nigel Pulsford and Dave Parsons both decided not to rejoin the band and were replaced by Chris Traynor and Corey Britz. The quartet released their most recent album Black and White Rainbows in 2017.
