Slash with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators is a hard rock group consisting of English-American rock musician Slash (guitar), Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass) and Frank Sidoris (guitar, vocals).
Slash, the iconic Grammy winning rock guitarist, songwriter and film producer has amassed more than 100 million album sales best known for his timeless guitar riffs on such Guns N’ Roses hits as “Welcome To The Jungle,” and “Sweet Child o’ Mine.” Upon leaving that band he achieved more commercial and critical success with the supergroup Velvet Revolver.
Myles Kennedy is best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the band Alter Bridge. Kennedy also performed three Guns N’ Roses songs with members of that band at their 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in Axl Rose’s absence.
Kennedy wide range of influences include Led Zeppelin while his singing inspirations include Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. Kennedy also cites jazz players John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Curtis Mayfield and Pat Matheny as influences.
Slash and Kennedy began their collaboration when Kennedy sang on two songs for Slash’s eponymous debut solo album. Kennedy later served as Slash’s vocalist on tour.
For Slash’s second solo album Kennedy served as the solo vocalist. Fitz, Kerns and Sidoris would complete the lineup for the album. Released in 2012 the album, Apocalyptic Love was billed as “Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.” The band’s second album World on Fire was released in 2014.
In 2018 the band recorded and toured behind their third album Living the Dream. Cited by the online American hard rock music magazine Loudwire as one of the top hard rock albums of 2018 and their most complete album to date. Their hard rock journey highlights including the infectious single “Mind Your Manners,” to the chugging rocker “My Antidote.” The band also throw in the darker “Lost Inside the Girl,” and the acoustic “The One You Loved Is Gone.”
Slash with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will be touring North America throughout the summer of 2019.
