The K-ZAP  Short Tail – Still Here on The Wet Coast

Storm wave

Yes, we ARE still here, battling along with everyone else on the Wet Coast. Last night, the “room where it happens” –the secret room where our transmitter lives, was ravaged by the storm.

We lost that battle, but only temporarily. So if you are reading this, you know currently the terrestrial signal is down, but you can still hear the heartbeat of the best rock, blues and more ONLINE, worldwide.

www.k-zap.org and the apps are up and running!

k-zap Adrienne Barbeau

Here’s Sacramento’s own Adrienne Barbeau broadcasting. Yikes. Please look to your right!

Was she a big influence on women DJ’s,  or was her inspiration  an early K-ZAP host ?

I’m out in my Morton Salt Girl raincoat,  researching this very question and will be back in to report later tonight. In the meantime, if you know, dear reader, please comment  ONLINE, whist huddling around our communal firepit.

** WE do have breaking news that the Cable Guy is visiting our own mid-day host McGregor this afternoon, to try to get him back online. Getting him in line is a whole other question….

K-ZAP alum Bill Prescott is paddling hard, filling in middays for now… Thanks Bill- good to hear you.

Stay warm and safe y’all and take care of each other.
