Chalk It Up 2026 – 36th Annual Chalk Art & Music Festival Saturday–Monday, September 5–7, 2026 | 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily Fremont Park, Midtown Sacramento (16th & Q Streets)
Join us for Sacramento’s beloved free Labor Day weekend tradition! The 36th Annual Chalk It Up! Chalk Art & Music Festival transforms Fremont Park into a vibrant outdoor gallery as hundreds of local artists create colorful chalk murals on the sidewalks surrounding the park. Inside the park, enjoy live local music on the main stage, food and craft vendors, kids’ activities, a shady picnic area, and more. It’s a family-friendly celebration of the Sacramento arts community that’s been free to the public since 1991, supporting youth arts grants and programs across the region.
Admission is completely free. Come watch the art come to life, support local makers, and enjoy a classic Sacramento weekend.

Special Guest Vendor – ONE DAY ONLY! The K-ZAP Emporium of Swag will be there Monday, September 7th only.
Stop by and grab one of our classic K-ZAP shirts or hats, or pick up the new Halloween The Undead Tubby Shirt in Toxic Green Tie Dye or black limited edition. Plus, we’re releasing a brand-new exclusive tie-dye and shirt design available ONLY at Chalk It Up on Monday, September 7th. Don’t miss it!
